Calf Feeding Recommendations

Starting day 2 of life, feed 3 quarts of Western Calf milk replacer twice daily or 2 quarts, 3 times daily.
Feed 1.5-2.0 pounds per head per day. If feeding exceeds 1.75 pounds per head per day, feed a 24% protein formulation.
Feeding calves fresh, clean water along with a high-quality, palatable calf starter feed on a free-choice basis supports healthy growth. Only use low sodium water (<50 ppm) when mixing and feeding calf milk replacer.
Mix calf milk replacer with 110-120°F water. Calf milk replacer should be 105°F when delivered to the calf. Always weigh calf milk replacer powder for proper mixing.
