Calf Feeding Recommendations
Starting day 2 of life, feed 2.0-2.5 pounds dry matter per calf per day. Feed 4 quarts of Calva® Optimum calf milk replacer twice daily or 3 quarts, 2-3 times daily.
Feeding calves fresh, clean water along with a high-quality, palatable calf starter feed on a free-choice basis supports healthy growth. Only use low sodium water (<50 ppm) when mixing and feeding calf milk replacer.
Mix calf milk replacer with 110-120°F water. Calf milk replacer should be 105°F when delivered to the calf. Always weigh calf milk replacer powder for proper mixing.
